The Karhunpolku goes cross north Carelia. From the start at the national park Patvinsuo there are 133 km to its end in Teljo. We show you the nicest parts of it along idyllic lakes and vast swamps. In between we stop for a cosy picnic at a nice campfire site. This hike takes about 5 to 6 hours. Inclusive of guide, transfer and picnic.

In late summer the forest beginns to bear its fruits. Especially blue- and cranberries you can find and the close forest nearby is a paradise for boletus mushroom pickers. We show you how to preserve the fruits and mushrooms so you can take your own picked treasure back home.

North Carelia is the region of Scandinavia which has the highest population of brown bears, wolves, lynx and wolverines. In the afternoon, before the animals start their walk we go to the hidden observation station. Until early morning we can watch these beasts of prey on their search for food.
